We went on a float trip down the North Fork of the Koyukuk River in the Gates of the Arctic National Park in Alaska. We rented inflatable canoes and flew up to a gravel bar in the middle of nowhere with a week's worth of supplies and floated down the river back to Bettles, the Alaskan equivalent of civilization. It was quite an adventure.
